Kraft called out

In Jeff Howe’s article reporting that the Patriots will pass on running back Joe Mixon in this year’s draft, team owner Robert Kraft is quoted as saying that playing in the NFL is a privilege and “that privilege is lost for men who have a history of abusing women” (“Pats won’t touch Mixon,” March 29).

This from a guy who pals around with Donald “Groper in chief” Trump, whose attitudes were revealed in that “Access Hollywood” tape. Trump has unrepentantly demeaned women and minorities for his entire adult life.

For his part, Kraft seems caught in a double standard. — Hal Landy, Nantucket
