Mary L. Healey, at 86, resident of Melrose, medical secretary

Mary L. (Harris) Healey of Melrose died Wednesday at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. She was 86.

Mrs. Healey was born and raised in Mount Clemens, Mich., and moved to Melrose with her husband in 1958.

She graduated from Mt. Clemens High School.

She worked as a medical secretary at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for over 35 years.

Mrs. Healey was a member of the 200 Club in Melrose and volunteere­d at Melrose’s Levi Gould Retirement Home, where she lived, enjoyed playing bingo and going to lunch at the Milano Center, and loved doing crossword puzzles.

She loved to go to New Hampshire with her husband, take trips to Disney World and walk all over Boston and Harvard Square.

Wife of the late Robert E., she is survived by three daughters, Laura Preston of Lynn, Susan Nickerson of Woburn and Joan Cavalieri of Raynham; three sons, Robert Jr. of Milford, Steven of Burlington and Tim of Wilmington; 10 grandchild­ren; five great-grandchild­ren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church, Melrose.

Interment will be at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
