DREAM TEAM
DIMON CARRIGAN CAMBRIDGE
The 6-foot-8 senior center was dominant in the paint, averaging 12.8 points, 14.1 rebounds and 5.5 blocked shots per game in leading the Falcons to their second consecutive Division 1 state title. Carrigan shot 55 percent from the field and shared the Dual County League MVP award with teammate Jakigh Dottin. Carrigan will do a postgraduate year at Woodstock Academy in Connecticut.
JAKIGH DOTTIN CAMBRIDGE
A four-year starter at the point, Dottin averaged 12.7 points, 6.2 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game for a Cambridge team that went undefeated and rolled to the Division 1 state championship. A two-time Dual County League MVP, Dottin ended his career with more than 1,000 points. An honor roll student, Dottin will join teammate Dimon Carrigan at Woodstock Academy.
CARL PIERRE BC HIGH
The 6-foot-4 shooting guard averaged 22 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots per game in leading the Eagles to the Catholic Conference title. The MVP of the league and two-time league all-star, Pierre concluded his career with more than 1,000 points. An honor roll student, Pierre will do a postgraduate year at Westminster School in Connecticut.
THOMAS SHAUGHNESSY NEEDHAM
The Bay State Conference Carey MVP put the Rockets on his back this season, leading Needham to the league championship and the school’s first-ever Division 1 South title. The 6-foot junior guard averaged 23 points, four assists, three rebounds and 2.5 steals per game. An honor roll student, he plays AAU basketball with the Middlesex Magic.
NEWTON NORTH ETHAN WRIGHT
The 6-foot-3 junior shooting guard averaged 24.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per game for the Tigers, and ended the season with 1,195 career points. A two-time Herald All-Scholastic, Wright led the Tigers to a 16-7 record. An honor roll student, Wright plays his AAU ball for the New England Playaz and hopes to continue his basketball career at the collegiate level.
