A FOURTH FULL OF STARS
While you were busy flipping hamburgers, singing the national anthem and enjoying America’s finest beers for the Fourth of July, notable names were partying in their own way — both in and out of New England.
For starters, Ramona Singer, entrepreneur and star of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New York,” was in the Bay State. The Big Apple reality star and a group of gals head to Nantucket every year to celebrate the Fourth there.
While on the island, where she usually stays for about a week, Singer showed up at a barbecue on Hulbert Avenue and posted an Instagram pic of herself taking tennis lessons from a 6-foot-10-inch pro.
Diane Guerrero, aka inmate Maritza Ramos on Netflix’s “Orange Is the New Black,” was in the Hub for the holiday. The Boston native was the Independence Day orator for the Fourth of July ceremonies at Faneuil Hall, where she recited the Pledge of Allegiance while flanked by Boston police Superintendent in Chief William Gross and Mayor Marty Walsh, who gave the actress a big ol’ hug.
Mark Wahlberg is playing expat this holiday. He’s over in Italy, filming his latest project.
The man has already moved on from “Transformers: The Last Knight” hype and is now shooting “All the Money in the World,” a film focused on a political kidnapping plot in 1970s Italy.
Despite being halfway around the world, Wahlberg gave America his best, wishing the U.S. a happy birthday and asking everyone to stay safe. Class act, that one.
Also away for the Fourth was Pats wide receiver Julian Edelman. No.11 was out in Montana riding dirt bikes, the ultimate expression of being American. We would expect nothing less from a Patriot.
Former Miss USA Olivia Culpo spent her Fourth in her native Rhode Island. Her red, white and blue New England stay came right after her island excursion with boyfriend and Patriot wide receiver Danny Amendola. The world’s most attractive couple relaxed in Turks and Caicos earlier this week, noshing on fruit salad, soaking in the rays and watching a trapped bird try to escape their patio table.
On Independence Day, the fashion influencer spent quality time with her fam. The Culpo clan piled into an RV bound for Newport.
