SIDE TRACK
SWEET MOVE: Actor and comedian Kevin Hart may be short — it's something he brings up in his stand-up routine on the reg — but he knows how to live large. Case in point: Hart took his Birthday Bash to Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn. over the holiday weekend, where he entertained the crowd, mixed and mingled with guests, and then got a doozy of a 38th birthday cake. It was a custom number — note the crown — by Foxwoods' own Cake by Franck. Not sure how you get an end piece on that.
WILLOWBEND BLISS: Mashpee's Willowbend was full of warm, fuzzy feelings, as Clay Southworth, son of country club owner David Southworth, married his longtime love, Noelle Kern. There were 275 guests who gathered to watch the couple tie the knot, including ski mogul Les Otten, billionaire Joe Deitch, lawyers Kenneth Fishman and F. Lee Bailey, author Lisa Genova and PR personality George Regan. The groom works for Southworth Development, while the bride is an elementary school teacher in Harwich.
40 AND FABULOUS!: Michelle Cully, a businesswoman hailing from Hanover, was selected as one of the five finalists for Harper’s Bazaar's Fabulous at Every Age reader search. The magazine's editors selected Cully as the sole representative of fabulousness for the 40s age group. The 48-year-old is president and CEO of Xpressman Trucking & Courier, as well as a mother of two. She's almost done working on her memoir, “High Heels in the Laundry Room,” which traces her journey to the top of the business world, despite personal hurdles and the pressures of a maledominant industry. The December 2017/ January 2018 issue of Harper's Bazaar will have a shout-out to Cully when it hits stands.
