Raymond F. Ross Jr., 94, of Woburn, salesman

Raymond F. Ross Jr. of Woburn died Wednesday at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington. He was 94.

He was born in Woburn and was a 1940 graduate of Woburn High School.

Mr. Ross served in the Navy and was discharged in 1943.

He worked as a salesperso­n during most of his adult life.

He served as an alderman for Ward 6 in Woburn in the 1960s.

Mr. Ross was a lifelong parishione­r of St. Anthony Church and was a member of Holy Name Society and volunteere­d as an usher.

He was an avid Boston sports fan and particular­ly enjoyed the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins.

He and his wife enjoyed square dancing and were members of Skirts ’n Flirts Square Dance Club of Wilmington.

Husband of the late Clare A. (Brine), he is survived by three sons, Raymond F. III of Brookline, N.H., Daniel W. of Reading and Richard P. of Woburn; two daughters, Nancy Rogers of Billerica and Sally Sterling of Bed- ford, N.H.; a sister, June G. of Woburn; four granddaugh­ters, six grandsons and 13 great-grandchild­ren.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Anthony Church, Woburn.

Burial will be in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
