Taisaun Glenn-Doherty made sure Brockton had just enough left in the tank.

Glenn-Doherty scored 12 points, including six in the final two minutes, to go with nine rebounds to lift the Boxers to an 86-81 overtime win against Brighton last night in Brockton.

It was the third game in five days for both sides, and the visiting Bengals’ second consecutive trip into overtime.

The Boxers trailed 81-80 with two minutes to play in the extra frame, but GlennDoherty pushed the Boxers in front.

With less than a minute to play, the senior forward hauled in an offense rebound and put it back in to increase Brockton’s lead to 85-81.

Marcus Azor sealed the win for the Boxers at the free throw line.

“(Taisaun) has great energy,” Brockton coach Bob Boen said. “He is a great leaper. In that second half, he got the key rebounds and key layups. Really came through for us tonight.”

Brockton (10-0) fell behind 67-59 early in the fourth but turned to its full-court pressure to storm back and force overtime.

Abu Kaba splashed a 3-pointer and then hit two at the charity stripe to pull Brockton within four.

Azor then came through for the Boxers. He connected on a jumper before stealing the ensuing inbounds pass and laying it in to tie the score at 69.

Moments later, GlennDoherty capped off the 13-2 fourth-quarter spurt for the Boxers as he jumped in front of a Bengals pass, ran the length of the floor and threw down a two-handed slam to put Brockton up, 72-69.

Brighton reclaimed a twopoint lead with less than a minute to play on a Jerrod Clark three-point play, but Azor hit a driving layup to send the game to overtime tied at 74.

The Bengals came out of the gates on fire from 3-point land. Devrae Burns (17 points) drilled three triples as part of a 5-of-7 opening quarter from beyond the arc for Brighton to give the Bengals a 25-20 lead after one.

Kaba kept Brockton afloat by scoring 11 of his 21 points in the first half.

Burns and Johnny Ortiz, however, made sure the Bengals went into the locker room on a high note as they combined to score nine points down the stretch to put Brighton up 41-36 at the intermission.

In other boys basketball games, Ramy Chebbo had 19 points to lead Quincy (73) past Silver Lake, 63-47, in the Patriot League.
