SHE’S IN THE SWIM
Kostek scores TD with jewelry, SI shoot
She may be calm, cool and collected, but Connecticut native and former Patriots cheerleader Camille Kostek has a lot on her plate. In addition to doing a shoot for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue coming out in February, she’s launching a collection with a local jeweler.
“The coolest part about Sports Illustrated is that I didn’t have to do much to get ready,” Kostek told the Track. “I was scouted through Instagram during its open casting call back in March. When I made that 60-second video, I wasn’t training any more than I was on a regular basis.
“There wasn’t a crackdown on my diet or my workout,” she continued about her preparation prior to hitting the beaches of Belize for the final photoshoot. “That was the body I was going to shoot in, and I was content.”
But before we Boston women let out a cry of injustice, Kostek said she abided by a training schedule, added boxing to her regimen and ate strictly “clean” food that she prepared at home.
“I teamed up with Equinox and I was able to get some personal training sessions. I said, you know, I want to tighten my glutes, I want to tone up my arms a little bit — my triceps are my trouble spot.”
When S.I. hits newsstands the week of Valentine’s Day, Kostek will also be launching her new line, Voyager Collection by Camille Kostek for Dune Jewelry, a company in Hyde Park. The collection will embody her personal style and jet-setting ways, featuring delicate tags embellished with airport codes and symbols associated with their respective cities.
And for anyone who knows Kostek, who’s been romantically linked to currently concussed tight end Rob Gronkowski, she checks all the boxes of a modern voyager. Get this: After finishing a gig in New York this week, she’ll be heading to Los Angeles — her current homebase — before making her way to Minneapolis to support our guys in the Super Bowl.
We have jet lag just thinking about it.
