FOXBORO — The newlook Revolution kept right on truckin’, drawing goals from four different players last night to defeat the 10man Montreal Impact, 4-0, in front of 10,908 die-hard fans at Gillette Stadium.

The victory extended the Revs’ modest unbeaten streak to four games (3-0-1), their longest since an eightgame roll in 2015.

The Revs goalscorers were Teal Bunbury (20th minute), Andrew Farrell (45th plus 6), Diego Fagundez (71st) and Wilfried Zahibo (80th). Keeper Matt Turner (two saves) had an easy night in earning his second consecutive clean sheet.

“I thought the one thing that we did well tonight that we learned from the Houston game was when we went on the man-advantage we managed the ball well,’’ said firstyear Revs coach Brad Friedel. “I think we created over 25 chances. If we can score four goals every game, we’ll be pretty happy.’’

After an even first 10 minutes, the action took a decided turn in favor of the Revs (3-1-1) when Montreal midfielder Saphir Taider was given a red card in the 13th minute for kicking Luis Caicedo in the right leg. Caicedo was able to remain in the game.

The extra man worked to the Revs advantage in the 20th minute after Bunbury fought for space against Impact defender Victor Cabera. Bunbury took possession and drilled a right-foot shot past Montreal keeper Evan Bush (four saves). It was the second goal in as many games for the 28-year-old Bunbury.

“It was unbelievable. A credit to all the guys. We put in a lot of work in practice this week. My job is to make runs and open space for people. It was just a lot of work by a lot of guys,” Bunbury said.

Later, Cristian Penilla tried to split defenders and was tripped in the box. The ball squirted ahead to Bunbury, who similarly was sent to the ground as referee Jose Carlos Rivero immediately went to his earpiece to check with video replay officials upstairs in the 30th minute. After a five-minute delay, the Revs were awarded a penalty kick, the first PK for the Revs in 2018. Fagundez aimed his attempt toward the left but Bush guessed correctly and blocked the bid.

Revs defender Claude Dielna had a free kick in thr 42nd minute that was deflected by the wall. The hosts kept the pedal to the metal with Fagundez making a delivery to the front where Bunbury’s header was snared by Bush.

The Revs scored during first-half extra time with Gabriel Somi sending the ball into the box. Fagundez steered the delivery to Farrell uncovered on the right, whoh unleashed a shot into the far corner before the Montreal defenders could respond. It was his first goal in 171 career games, including seven playoff tilts, and elicited a minicelebration by the popular Louisville native, who turned 25 four days ago.

“I was talking to (Bunbury) today and he asked how I would celebrate. I said I didn’t know, but it felt good to help out the team on the offensive side of the ball. It was a long time coming,” said the defender.
