Shrimp and garlic a quick, flavorful comfort food
Shrimp and garlic is a classic combination, and our version is a perennial favorite on the Legal Sea Foods menu. It’s comfort food at its best, particularly in colder months.
SHRIMP & GARLIC
1 T. canola oil
6 medium shrimp, peeled
and deveined
2 c. sliced mushrooms
¼ c. white wine
1 T. fresh squeezed lemon
juice
12 cherry tomatoes, cut in
half
4 T. sliced scallions
1 c. garlic butter Kosher salt to taste Fresh ground pepper to
taste
1 lb. dry linguine
Place linguine in boiling salted water and cook until tender.
Heat oil in a large saute pan. Adding shrimp in batches, sear well on both sides and season with salt and pepper.
Using the same pan, heat a small amount of oil and sear mushrooms and season with salt and pepper.
Add shrimp to mushrooms and deglaze pan with white wine and lemon juice.
Add tomatoes and scallions to pan and toss well.
Add pasta and garlic butter to pan, toss, turn off heat, and continue tossing to incorporate butter and wine.
Divide shrimp and pasta between four plates. Serves 4.
