Fred­er­ick J. Colan­geli of Malden died Tues­day. He was 96.

He was a life­long res­i­dent of Malden.

He served in the Army dur­ing WWII.

Mr. Colan­geli worked as a su­per­vi­sor for Bos­ton Gas Com­pany for 37 years.

He was a mem­ber of the VFW in Mel­rose.

Hus­band of the late Mary (DeFranzo), he is sur­vived by a daugh­ter, Su­san Caron of Mel­rose; a grand­daugh­ter, Toni-Marie Caron; a grand­son, Fred­er­ick Caron; two great-grand­daugh­ters, Emma Caron Ti­tus and Shay­lyn Ti­tus; and nieces and neph­ews.

A fu­neral Mass will be cel­e­brated at 11:30 a.m. Mon­day at Im­mac­u­late Con­cep­tion Church, Malden.

In­ter­ment will be in Wood­lawn Ceme­tery, Ev­erett.
