Gagliardi, Case make it six

Michael Gagliardi ran for 234 yards and six touchdowns to lead Somerset Berkley (6-5) to a 41-19 win against Case in a South Coast Conference battle yesterday.

Dover-Sherborn 17, Medfield 0 — Tylan Mendes’ got the scoring started with an 18-yard touchdown and finished his day with 162 yards on 22 attempts to pace the Raiders (7-4) to a win against the Warriors in a Tri-Valley League matchup. Pentucket 28, Triton 0 — Austin Senfleben ran two scores as the Sachems (6-5) defeated the Vikings in the Cape Ann League. Amesbury 8, Newburypor­t 0— Blake Bennett’s 1-yard TD run was the game’s only score as the Indians (9-2) edged the Clippers. Hanover 20, Norwell 7 — Andrew Carroll tossed two touchdown passes and rushed for another score, leading the Indians (7-4) over the Clippers in a nonleague battle. Mashpee 34, Sandwich 7 — Cam Kergo ripped off two long scoring runs to give the Vikings(9-2) the nonleague win over the Blue Knights.

Division 6

Middleboro 27, Carver/ Sacred Heart 6 — Brandon Hogan rushed for three touchdowns, leading the Sachems(4-7) over the Crusaders(4-7), in a contest between South Shore League rivals. Rockland 33, East Bridgewate­r 6 — Junior Dante Vasquez amassed 186 rushing yards and three touchdowns and added a passing touchdown to lead the Bulldogs (6-5) over the Vikings. Ipswich 36, Hamilton-Wenham0— Josh Mallette scored two touchdowns of 20-plus yards, Cole Terry had a touchdown with a pair of conversion rushes as the Tigers (8-3) rolled over the Generals in the Cape Ann League. Medway 30, Millis 21 — Drew Plunkett threw for one score and ran for another as the Mustangs (8-3) defeated the Mohawks in the Tri-Valley League.

Division 7

Minuteman 44, Mystic Valley8— Darian Casseus and Danny Johansen each rushed for a pair of touchdowns to lead the Mustangs (6-5) over the Eagles (2-9) in a Commonweal­th Athletic Conference matchup. The win gives Minuteman its first winning record since 2013 and snaps a four-game losing streak on Thanksgivi­ng. Cohasset 26, Hull 21 — Gray Thomas had three touchdowns as the Skippers (9-3) edged the Pirates in the South Shore League. Manchester Essex 38, Georgetown 8 — Gavin Glass, Bobby Beardsley, Will Levendusky and Joe Daly tallied touchdowns in the first half to lead the Hornets (4-5) over the Royals in a nonleague contest. St. John Paul II 12, Monomoy 6— Darren Katzleff returned a fumble 90 yards for a touchdown late in the second quarter to give the Lions (7-4) the win against the Monarchs.

Division 8

Pope John 26, Matignon/St. Joseph0— Sophomore John Smith-Howell had 10 carries for 168 yards while scoring twice in a win for the Tigers (12-0) over their Catholic Central League rivals. Smith-Howell now has over 1,000 rushing yards on the season as well as 21 rushing touchdowns. South Shore 40, Holbrook/ Avon 0 — Shane Fougere scored a pair of rushing touchdowns from 1 yard out to lift the Vikings (4-7) over the co-op team in the Mayflower League. Cape Cod Tech 6, Upper Cape0— Senior Archer Estinvill ran the ball 25 times for 150 yards as the Crusaders (6-5) edged the Rams.
