A Methuen man was held without bail Wednesday on charges of shooting a man the suspect’s girlfriend had arranged to buy two car doors from.

Henry Infante, 42, pleaded not guilty in Lawrence District Court to charges of assault to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, carrying a loaded gun without a license, possession of ammunition without a firearms identification card and possession of a firearm in a felony.

Judge Michael Brooks ordered him held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing Friday.

Methuen police responding to a 911 call at 10:55 p.m. Monday arrived at McDonald’s on Haverhill Street, where they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man was rushed to an area hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

The victim’s girlfriend told police they had arranged through the selling app Offer Up to meet in the McDonald’s parking lot with a woman who wanted to buy two car doors from them for $90, according to a police report.

The victim’s girlfriend told police an Acura pulled up, and a man got out and went with the victim to look at the car doors in the back of her vehicle, the report said.

A Honda and a Range Rover then pulled into the lot, she told officers, and about five men and four women got out, according to the police report.

One of the women approached her and asked, “Where did your boyfriend get the doors from,” the report states, and the parties began to argue.

The victim’s girlfriend told officers she was attacked by three of the women, the police report states, and her boyfriend was shot three times by a man who’d gotten out of the Range Rover.

The Range Rover, Acura and Honda then took off, and the victim staggered into the McDonald’s, where people rendered first aid until firefighters arrived, according to the report.

The vehicle identification number on the car doors came back to Yolanda Hernandez, whom the victim’s girlfriend identified in a photo lineup as one of the women who had attacked her, a police report states.

A witness managed to get the Acura’s license plate number, which came back to Infante at the same address as Hernandez, police said.

Hernandez was arrested Tuesday and charged with assault and battery and accessory after the fact. She is being held without bail until a dangerousness hearing Friday.

Infante has a criminal record that includes charges of assault to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, witness intimidation and drug possession with intent to distribute.
