Mary T. (Tavares) Barbosa of Fall River, cosmetologist, at 73

Mary T. (Tavares) Barbosa of Fall River died Thursday, Jan. 10, at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was 73. She was born in the Azores. She lived in Fall River since 1961. Mrs. Barbosa worked as a cosmetologist at Miss Angel’s Beauty Salon for more than 20 years. She enjoyed going to church and was a communicant of Espirito Santo Church in Fall River. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a member of the Espirito Santo Church choir. Mrs. Barbosa is survived by her husband of 43 years, Carlos; a daughter, Cynthia T. of Fall River; two sons, Scott T. of Dighton and Michael T. of Fall River; a sister, Maria Jose Medeiros of Fall River; two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 14, at Espirito Santo Church, Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
