PONG ALONG: The Boston Bruins Foundation will be teaming up with Patrice Bergeron and 98.5 The Sports Hub, as they all host their second annual Pucks and Paddles ping pong tournament Feb. 7. The table tennis tourney will bring together a hodgepodge of Bruins players, 98.5 on-air talent and patients from Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center for the charitable competition, held at Royale. Regular folks like ourselves will also be able to buy our way into the action via an auction that will give the highest bidders the chance to partner up with a celebrity player and participate. Tickets to the event, which benefit the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center and the Boston Bruins Foundation, are now available on a general admission and VIP basis. The latter option guarantees that attendees will get to meet at least some of our NHL stars, depending on the session tournamentgoers choose: The VIP Gold Session will consist of Bergeron, Tuukka Rask, Charlie McAvoy and David Backes; while the VIP Black Session will include David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand, Zdeno Chara and David Krejci. To find more information and snag tickets, head to the Pucks and Paddles page on Eventbrite.

IT IS KNOWN: Dorchester’s Donnie Wahlberg and his wife, Jenny McCarthy, have just revealed to the world how deep their “Game of Thrones” nerdiness truly runs. The celebrity couple are apparently the proud parents to a pair of Pomeranian puppies, and their new fur-babies were both given some serious GOT-themed names. “Introducing Drogon and Nymeria Wahlberg to our family. So happy,” McCarthy, who’s been busy with her new gig on “The Masked Singer,” captioned a photo of the fluffballs. Fans of the North remember that on the show, Nymeria is Arya Stark’s direwolf companion, while Drogon is part of the powerful serpentine pack belonging to the Mother of Dragons herself, Daenerys Targaryen. We might be champing at the bit for the

HBO series to return for its final season in April following a twoyear hiatus, but something tells us that the Wahlberg fam — the pup duo included — are even more eager.
