PONG ALONG: The Bos­ton Bru­ins Foun­da­tion will be team­ing up with Pa­trice Berg­eron and 98.5 The Sports Hub, as they all host their sec­ond an­nual Pucks and Pad­dles ping pong tour­na­ment Feb. 7. The ta­ble ten­nis tour­ney will bring to­gether a hodge­podge of Bru­ins play­ers, 98.5 on-air tal­ent and pa­tients from Float­ing Hos­pi­tal for Chil­dren at Tufts Med­i­cal Cen­ter for the char­i­ta­ble com­pe­ti­tion, held at Royale. Reg­u­lar folks like our­selves will also be able to buy our way into the ac­tion via an auc­tion that will give the high­est bid­ders the chance to part­ner up with a celebrity player and par­tic­i­pate. Tick­ets to the event, which ben­e­fit the Float­ing Hos­pi­tal for Chil­dren at Tufts Med­i­cal Cen­ter and the Bos­ton Bru­ins Foun­da­tion, are now avail­able on a gen­eral ad­mis­sion and VIP ba­sis. The lat­ter op­tion guar­an­tees that at­ten­dees will get to meet at least some of our NHL stars, de­pend­ing on the ses­sion tour­na­ment­go­ers choose: The VIP Gold Ses­sion will con­sist of Berg­eron, Tuukka Rask, Char­lie McAvoy and David Backes; while the VIP Black Ses­sion will in­clude David Pas­tr­nak, Brad Marc­hand, Zdeno Chara and David Kre­jci. IT IS KNOWN: Dorch­ester’s Don­nie Wahlberg and his wife, Jenny McCarthy, have just re­vealed to the world how deep their “Game of Thrones” nerdi­ness truly runs. The celebrity cou­ple are ap­par­ently the proud par­ents to a pair of Pomera­nian pup­pies, and their new fur-ba­bies were both given some se­ri­ous GOT-themed names. “In­tro­duc­ing Dro­gon and Nymeria Wahlberg to our fam­ily. So happy,” McCarthy, who’s been busy with her new gig on “The Masked Singer,” cap­tioned a photo of the fluff­balls. Fans of the North re­mem­ber that on the show, Nymeria is Arya Stark’s di­re­wolf com­pan­ion, while Dro­gon is part of the pow­er­ful ser­pen­tine pack be­long­ing to the Mother of Dragons her­self, Daen­erys Tar­garyen. We might be champ­ing at the bit for the

HBO se­ries to re­turn for its fi­nal sea­son in April fol­low­ing a twoyear hia­tus, but some­thing tells us that the Wahlberg fam — the pup duo in­cluded — are even more ea­ger.
