Doris B. Callahan of Brockton, formerly of Lowell, at age 94

Doris B. (Bourque) Callahan of Brockton died Thursday, Feb. 7. She was 94.

Mrs. Callahan was born, raised and educated in Lowell.

She worked as secretary of Brockton Public High School’s Guidance Department for many years until retirement in 1999.

She was active in the 20th Century Catholic Club, enjoyed knitting with Our Lady of Lourdes Church Knitting Group and walking daily at Westgate Mall.

Wife of the late W. Sayre, Mrs. Callahan is survived by three sons, Michael S. of Lakeville, Jay J. of Bridgewater and David B. of Richmond, Va.; two granddaughters; four grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton.

Burial will be in Melrose Cemetery.
