Here’s the list of running backs who topped Sony Michel’s 336 postseason rushing yards en route to a Super Bowl win: John Riggins, Terrell Davis, Marcus Allen, Franco Harris, Timmy Smith and Jamal Lewis. That’s it.
On a toss late in the third quarter, Michel cut back, ran through defensive end Michael Brockers and picked up 12 yards after contact for a 19-yard gain.
Michel and Rex Burkhead each broke off 26-yard runs on a fourth-quarter drive that put the Patriots ahead by two possessions.
James White contributed surprisingly little in the Super Bowl, but enjoyed a terrific 2018 season overall.
