Carol Pulki­nen of Rock­land, 71, ship­ping pro­ces­sor

Carol A. (Evans) Pulki­nen of Rock­land and Florida died Thurs­day. She was 71.

She was born in Brock­ton. She was raised in Abington and was a grad­u­ate of Abington High School.

She lived in Rock­land for over 40 years and worked as a ship­ping pro­ces­sor for lo­cal man­u­fac­tur­ing com­pa­nies.

Mrs. Pulki­nen was a mem­ber of the Ladies Aux­il­iary of the Abington VFW and was a com­mu­ni­cant of Saint Brid­get Church.

She spent win­ters in Florida with her hus­band dur­ing re­tire­ment.

She is sur­vived by her hus­band, Richard; a son, Richard of Whit­man; two daugh­ters, Kelly Leone of Brain­tree and Jen­nifer Walm­s­ley of Med­way; a brother, Wil­liam Evans of Abington; two sis­ters, Karen Conover of Abington and Linda Beirne of South Wey­mouth; seven grand­chil­dren and sev­eral nieces and neph­ews.

A fu­neral Mass will be cel­e­brated at 9 a.m. Tues­day at St. Brid­get Church, Abington.

Burial will be in Mount Ver­non Ceme­tery, Abington.
