MTV’S FOXY NEW SHOW

- by Olivia Vanni

Ex-pageant queen Julia Scaparotti can tack a new talent onto her resume: posing asa Megan Fox look-alike on a new MTV dating show. The former Miss Massachusetts USA, who also has a show on 103.3 AMP Radio, will apparently be vying for DJ Pauly D’s affection on the upcoming series, “Game of Clones.”

The network just released a trailer for the unique spin on a dating competition: Scaparotti and six other ladies who possess the physical qualities of Pauly D’s celebrity crush — the raven hair, light eyes and tan skin of actress Fox — will be trying to win over “The Jersey Shore” star.

“I’m used to being the only girl with dark hair and light eyes,” Scaparotti said during the teaser for the Feb. 21 episode, later adding, “We don’t stand out for what we look like.”

From the clip, you can see that the show even goes so far as to make over the gals by dressing them all in identical, black leather halter dresses and slicking their black locks back into ponytails so they further resemble the “Transformers” star. In theory, its efforts to make all of the eligible bachelorettes look alike will actually take appearance out of the dating equation — which is an adjustment for our local lady.

“I feel like the other ladies are dressed up to look like Megan Fox, but I naturally look like Megan Fox,” said the Peabody native and cohost of the The Scene. “I get called Megan Fox all the time and I have a good personality, too, so I think that will get me really far.”

As far as whether goodtime Pauly will take the clone bait and end up with Scaparotti or one of her fellow faux Foxes, well, that remains to be seen. He is expected to star alongside his old “Jersey Shore” pal Vinny Guadagnino on another, forthcoming MTV dating competition called “Double Shot at Love with DJ Pauly D & Vinny,” so we do have our doubts.

That said, the MTV trailer did make it seem like the Providence native was ready to tame his T-shirt time ways and finally find a partner who’s DTS (down to settle), saying: “So my dating style in the past was always so surface because I’m on the road constantly touring. I’m in a different state pretty much every single day and the nightclub may not be the right place to find a real significant relationship. I’m at a point in my life right now I want more than that, I want the substance. And I’m very proud to be a father now. I got career on point. I want that one person to share that with. So this experiment may actually be the perfect thing for me.”
