Exclusive look at new food & drink lineup at Xfinity Center
The Xfinity Center in Mansfield, which has hosted stars such as Aerosmith, Jimmy Buffet and Green Day, has new additions to its food and beverage offerings for the summer season and the Herald got an exclusive first look.
New to the 2019 lineup are: Questlove’s Cheesesteak, which is made with the Impossible Burger; actor Danny Trejo’s Los Angeles Tacos; and a craft cocktail menu created by the 2014 American Bartender of the Year, Sean Kenyon.
“Live Nation is very excited about the new food and beverage offerings coming to Live Nation venues, including the Xfinity Center this season,” said Brian Siep, senior vice president of food and beverage at Live Nation. “We partnered with some of the best and most exciting chefs, people and concepts in the country in order to enhance the overall food and beverage experience for our fans.”
Fans are very discerning these days. Your run-of-themill burger and fries just isn’t going to cut it anymore. When Fenway can offer a Lobster BLT Sandwich and a decadent “Banana Splitter” dessert, it is no surprise that consumers are also demanding premium plant-based alternatives, like an Impossible Burger-based item. It is
exciting to see venues constantly raising the bar to make their experience as unique and memorable as possible.
The new Los Angeles Taco concession will have some tasty options for fans to choose from, everything from grilled chicken, steak and mushroom asada tacos to fresh guacamole will be on the new menu. And at Questlove’s Cheesesteak, guests looking for a meatfree option can dine on the Impossible Burger-based Philly-style cheesesteak sandwich.
“We’re constantly trying to find new ways to enhance the fan’s experience at the Xfinity Center, and we hope fans are as excited about these new offerings as we are,” said Jeffrey Mann, general manager at Xfinity Center. “Along with our standard domestic ice-cold beers, this year we will be featuring a variety of local beers and a new cocktail program from Sean Kenyon. Sean has developed a cocktail menu that is fun and refreshing on a hot summer day. And the menu isn’t the only thing getting a revamp. We’ve replaced all our concession tents and replaced them with brand new, cool wooden structures.”
