Devils take down Habs

Kyle Palmieri scored a power-play goal 1:30 into overtime to complete the New Jersey Devils’ comeback from two goals down in a 4-3 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night.

Nikita Gusev, Nico Hischier and Wayne Simmonds also scored for the Devils, who trailed 3-1 late in the second. Mackenzie Blackwood, playing his second game in two nights, stopped 31 shots.

Hurricanes 4, Wild 3, OT — Andrei Svechnikov’s goal 1:33 into overtime lifted the Carolina Hurricanes to victory Saturday over the Minnesota Wild.

Svechnikov’s wrist shot from the right faceoff circle off a feed from Dougie Hamilton beat Devan Dubnyk to the stick side to hand the Wild just their second regulation loss in seven home games.

Coyotes 3, Flames 0 — Darcy Kuemper stopped 37 shots and slammed an opponent to the ice during a brawl in the second period, and the Arizona Coyotes beat the Calgary Flames.

Derek Stepan, Carl Soderberg and Lawson Crouse scored, and Arizona won for the third time in four games.

Stars 5, Oilers 4, OT — Jamie Benn scored 1:14 into overtime, and the Stars beat the Edmonton Oilers for their third consecutiv­e win.

Jason Dickinson, Miro Heiskanen, Blake Comeau and Tyler Seguin also scored for the Stars (11-8-2).

Kings 4, Golden Knights 3 — Carter scored in his 1,000th career game, and the Los Angeles Kings beat the Vegas Golden Knights for their third straight victory.

Nikolai Prokhorkin scored his first career goal for Los Angeles, and Jonathan Quick made 28 saves.

Jets 4, Lightning 3 — Connor Hellebuyck made 31 saves and the Jets overcame Stamkos’ 400th goal to beat the Lightning.

Mathieu Perreault, Nikolaj Ehlers, Jack Roslovic and Kyle Connor scored for Winnipeg, which is on a 6-1-1 roll. The Jets are 9-1-1 this season in one-goal games.

Penguins 6, Maple Leafs 1 — Dominik Kahun scored two goals and the Pittsburgh Penguins routed the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Kahun matched a career-high with three points. Bryan Rust also had a three-point game.

Islanders 4, Flyers 3, SO — Anthony Beauvillie­r scored twice during New York’s three-goal, third-period rally, and the Islanders beat the Philadelph­ia Flyers 4-3 in a shootout Saturday night.

The Islanders are on a 13-0-1 roll that’s vaulted them into second place in the Metropolit­an Division behind Washington.

Panthers 4, Rangers 3 — Evgenii Dadonov scored twice to lead the Florida Panthers to a 4-3 win over the New York Rangers on Saturday night.

Mike Hoffman and Brett Connolly also scored, and Jonathan Huberdeau and Keith Yandle each had three assists for the Panthers. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 30 shots to help coach Joel Quennevill­e get his 900th career victory.

Sabres 4, Senators 2 — Jack Eichel scored four goals to lead the Buffalo Sabres to a win over the Ottawa Senators.

It was the first four-goal performanc­e of Eichel’s fiveyear NHL career.

The Sabres snapped a six-game losing streak and improved to 10-6-3.

Ducks 4, Blues 1 — Derek Grant completed his first career hat trick, Ryan Getzlaf added a goal and an assist, and the Anaheim Ducks beat the St. Louis Blues.

John Gibson made 37 saves as the Ducks snapped a fivegame losing streak.

Blackhawks 7, Predators 2 — Patrick Kane had a goal and an assist, and the Chicago Blackhawks pounded the Nashville Predators for their third straight victory.
