Will Harvard University “cancel” longtime law professor Alan Dershowitz in the wake of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal as Queen Elizabeth II has done with her own son Prince Andrew?

If dead men tell no tales, their victims certainly do.

Virginia Roberts Guiffre, an alleged victim of the serial pedophile Epstein, has brought Buckingham Palace to its knees with claims that she was forced to have sex with Britain’s Prince Andrew on multiple occasions when she just 17 years old.

After a disastrous interview to defend himself on the BBC, the Queen has relieved Randy Andy of his royal duties, taken away his salary and tossed him out of his offices at Buckingham Palace.

And yet its mum’s the word at the ivy-covered palace in Cambridge as Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz continues to fight claims by Guiffre that he raped her at Epstein’s

Florida mansion when she was a teenager.

The royals appear to believe her but Harvard does not.

Dershowitz has taken Guiffre to the woodshed, smearing her and calling her a “certified, complete and total liar.”

Both are now waging defamation suits against the other.

Dershowitz defended Epstein in a human trafficking case in 2005 and brokered a nice plea deal three years later where the pedophile was sentenced to serve only 18 months in prison.

That was before the walls collapsed around Epstein and the world found out just how depraved the billionaire financier truly was.

And before he (ahem) killed himself in his jail cell.

Prince Andrew hasn’t been charged with any crime, at least not yet, but the royals were forced to make a move out of sheer embarrassment. He’s bad for their brand. So why does Harvard continue to look the other way when it comes to Dershowitz?

He too is bad for Harvard’s brand especially in this #MeToo culture.

Dershowitz is a tenured professor who made his bones defending the likes of Claus von Bulow, O.J Simpson, Mike Tyson and most recently Jeffrey Epstein.

Although it’s no crime to represent this rogue’s gallery, you are the company you keep.

That even goes for defense attorneys.

The New England Patriots parted ways with wide receiver Antonio Brown earlier this season over mere allegations that he treated a woman inappropriately.

The claims made by Virginia Roberts Guiffre against Alan Dershowitz are equally disturbing if not worse.

Of course, Dershowitz has every right to defend himself, especially if he’s innocent.

But Harvard doesn’t need to stand by him during this process.

Does it?

If Dershowitz truly cares about the university, he’d step away from his duties at the law school while his case gets sorted out.

It’s the noble thing to do. But none of us sees that happening.

Do we?
