Hillers top Panthers

Sean Walsh netted two of Hopkinton’s three shorthande­d goals and added two assists as the Hillers improved to a perfect 10-0 with a 4-2 Tri-Valley League win over Holliston on Wednesday at Loring Arena.

Belmont (7-1-2) got two goals and an assist from James Demeo and goalie T.J. Mead registered his fourth shutout of the season in a 3-0 nonleague blanking of Watertown.

Shane Brait (goal, three assists), Griffin Mudge (goal, three assists) and Matt Mullaney (two goals, two assists) all had 3-point nights, as Marshfield (3-3-2) got back on the winning track with an 8-3 rout of Pembroke in a nonleague contest.

Kirby Glynn had a goal and two assists as Masconomet (8-2) blanked North Reading, 5-0, in Cape Ann League play.

Girls hockey

Maura McIver registered a hat trick to lift Sandwich to a 4-1 win over Martha’s Vineyard in the Cape and Islands League.

Olivia Maffeo notched her 11th goal of the season, giving Canton (9-0-1) a 1-0 victory over Dedham in nonleague action.

Boys basketball

Matt Myron racked up 23 points, and A.J. Sousa poured in 21 himself as Bishop Connolly (5-1) rolled to an 83-52 victory over Holbrook in the Mayflower Athletic Conference.

In the Boston City League, Nick Festa tallied 17 points, as East Boston (3-4) topped Madison Park, 66-57.… Junior Jahiid Allen-Paisley had a tripledoub­le, scoring 10 points, while dishing out 11 assists and grabbing 10 boards, leading New Mission (6-3) to a 5945 victory over Charlestow­n.

Mike Manchester’s careerhigh 21 points powered Hull (6-3) to a 62-46 nonleague win over South Shore Christian. …

Omar Shakeel erupted for 22 points for Winchester (6-4) as part of a 65-52 win over Medford.

With 16 points and six rebounds, Cam Garber led Arlington Catholic (5-3) to a tight, 63-62 win over Bishop Fenwick in Catholic Central League action.

Girls basketball

Senior guard Jamillia Ross dropped 21 points, as Blue Hills knocked off Bristol-Plymouth, 52-36, in the Mayflower Athletic Conference.

Aliza Som collected 19 points, four rebounds and four assists to lead Greater Lowell (5-4) to a 54-34 win over Greater Lawrence in the Commonweal­th Athletic Large.

Fiona Mannion poured in a season-high 35 points and Jordan Bellot added 19 to propel Latin Academy (5-4) to a 65-49 Boston City League win over Boston United.
