Soak in winter with Okemo snowcat tour

Feb. 15: Snowcats, torchlight­s and fireworks, Okemo, VT: Okemo is all in for vacation-week fun. Join a guided snowcat tour from 6:30-8:45 p.m. that takes you mountainto­p and back with a short stop up top to get out and soak it all in ($59 pp). Just prior to that at 6:15 p.m. at the Clock Tower Base you can take in a torchlight parade winding its way down the mountain, followed by fireworks. Want to give your kids a thrill? Beginning at 5 p.m. they can join in on the Tiny Tots parade (kids 5 and up who can turn and stop independen­tly on a green trail are welcome) and be a star. www.okemo.com

Feb. 15: Vertical Challenge, Bolton Valley, VT: Race to beat family members, for bragging rights or, if you are really into it, to earn a spot in the Vertical Challenge Championsh­ips come March at Jay Peak. Feb. 15: Torchlight Parade and Dance Party, Suicide Six, VT: Few base lodges rival the historic and super cool feel of the Suicide Six lodge. Feb. 17: Sunrise Snow Coach, Great Glen Trails, NH: The Snow Coach is a great way to see the world — on a clear day from where it brings you (4,200 feet up Mount Washington) it feels like you can see forever. This day the coach invites you on a sunrise trip up that famed peak. You’ll head out at 5:45 a.m. and it will be worth it. Now-Feb. 29: Shred It To Edit, Wachusett Mountain, MA: Get your friends and combine your shredding and filming skills to win big. Participan­ts are asked to film their action on Wachusett Mountain and in their terrain park, edit it into a great film and then post and tag it — there will be winners! Prizes and glory will be awarded at a March 6 premier event for the entered films. www.wachusett.com
