Jason Shu set a new school record in the 200yard individual medley as Wayland defeated Weston, 93-85, in the Dual County League.

Sophomore guard Andre Mills struck for 26 points while senior guard Will O’Malley put up 24 for Archbishop Williams (4-1) in a 7969 win over Austin Prep in the Catholic Central League.

Girls basketball

Jackie Malley netted 20 points as Reading (2-0) defeated Winchester, 48-35, in Middlesex League action.

Christa Coffey (8 points, 14 rebounds) hit a runner in the paint with 1:38 to go to help give Hamilton-Wenham a 31-29 win over Rockport in the Cape Ann League.

In nonleague action, Rockland junior Julia Ellia scored 29 points in a 50-34 victory over Notre Dame (H). … Camryn Fauria scored 15 first half points as Bishop Feehan rolled to a 69-29 win over New Bedford.

C.J. Jette sniped a pair of goals, as Franklin (3-0) coasted to a 6-1 win over King Philip in the Hockomock League.

Girls hockey

In a Merrimack Valley matchup, Samantha Fantasia notched two goals and two assists for Billerica/ Chelmsford in a 5-0 victory over Methuen/Tewksbury.
