The Most Valuable Player of the Middlesex Freedom, the senior quarterback/ linebacker led the Red Raiders to the league title. He threw for 837 yards and 11 touchdowns and zero interceptions as Melrose ran its unbeaten streak to 21 games. An outstanding all-around athlete who was named to the Boston Herald Hockey Dream Team, Fennell will do a postgraduate year at Avon Old Farms.
