- By Rick Sobey

A man is accused of stealing Jimmy Fund donations at the DanaFarber Cancer Institute in Boston, according to police who are trying to ID the suspect.

The man seen on camera apparently stole donations from the Jimmy Fund’s purple dinosaur on two separate days in the last couple of weeks.

The Boston Police Department is now seeking the public’s help ID’ing the suspect.

The man on July 5 and then on July 9 entered the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at 44 Binney St., and “targeted a purple dinosaur which is used to collect donations for the Jimmy Fund,” police said.

“On both occasions, the suspect emptied the dinosaur of all the paper bills before fleeing on foot and entering the passenger side of an awaiting grey sedan,” police said.

The suspect is described as a Black male in his 20s, about 5 foot, 9 inches to 5 foot, 10 inches tall, and weighing 180 to 190 pounds. He has medium length hair and was last seen wearing a blue tiedye patterned shirt, gray shorts and white Crocs shoes.

The suspect also had a black hooded sweatshirt hanging on his shoulders with the word “IMMORTA” written on the sleeve.
