BREAKING DOWN WEEK 1
The team which ended the Fall II season atop the Eastern Mass. Sweet 16 poll begins the 2021 season in the same spot. There is no question that Catholic Memorial clearly belongs atop the heap. A quick look at the roster shows the Knights are loaded with high-end future Div. 1 college talent. It won’t be a cakewalk defending their Catholic Conference title as two teams in the top six (Xaverian and St. John’s Prep) will give them a run.
Everett rolled through the shortened Fall II schedule and will be a factor in the hunt for the Div. 1 crown along with Central Catholic. Mansfield and Lincoln-Sudbury should be the toughest challenges to Catholic Memorial in the Div. 2 postseason as the Knights opted to move up from Div. 3 to Div. 2 rather than going up to Div. 1.
