Casino revenue down slightly

-

Revenue at the state’s two resort casinos and one slots parlor in August took a small step backward from the highs of July, with the three gaming centers generating about $92 million compared to $95.74 million the month before.

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission said Wednesday that the state’s share of August’s gaming revenue would be about $26.15 million, a slight decrease from the record $27 million in taxes and fees the casinos and slots generated for the state in July but still well above the monthly average of $21.84 million since all three facilities have been open.

Once again, Encore Boston Harbor led the way. The Everett casino reported $57.86 million in gross gaming revenue last month — about $32.4 million from its slot machines and $25.4 from its table games.
