Trump had a plan
We can all agree that President Trump wanted to leave Afghanistan. The military leaders and President Biden are quick to mention that fact to spread blame. The difference is President Trump had a plan to end the war and Biden did not. President Trump had criteria that the Taliban had to meet for a sensible withdrawal. If President Trump’s terms were not met, we would remain. The U.S. was in total command of the air space in Afghanistan. We had intel on the ground that could wipe out terrorists with drones. We were in control and the Taliban knew it. So much so that no American soldier had been killed in over 15 months. Biden, on the other hand, ignored common sense and military advice. He chose to sneak out of Bagram Air Base in the middle of the night while leaving $85 billion of sophisticated weaponry behind for terrorists. Biden had no PPP (Proper Prior Planning).
