Bieber-branded bud comes to state

Pop star’s weed line named after hit song

- By AMY SOKOLOW

If you’ve ever heard Justin Bieber’s song “Peaches,” you know he gets his peaches out in Georgia, and his weed from California.

Now, Bay Staters can get Bieberbranded Peaches marijuana in Massachusetts, courtesy of California marijuana brand Palms prerolls.

“I’m a fan of Palms and what they are doing by making cannabis approachable and helping to destigmatize it – especially for the many people who find it helpful for their mental health,” the pop singer said in a statement. “I wanted to make sure that I was doing something with them that felt genuine, and Peaches felt like a good place to start.”

The collaboration — which hit stores in Massachusetts, California, Nevada and Florida on Monday — is only available in Massachusetts at NETA dispensaries in Brookline and Northampton, and Franklin later this fall.

For $55, “Beliebers” who pick up a pack will receive seven 0.5 gram pre-rolls featuring “premium indoor whole-flower,” according to a press release.

The Bieber-buds will come in indica, sativa and hybrid strains with “fruit and citrus terpenes,” the natural compounds in the plant that give it aroma and flavor.

“This is an exciting opportunity for NETA to introduce adults, 21 years and older, to a brand that aligns with our goal of bringing new, high-quality products to our patients and customers,” a NETA spokesperson said.

Bieber will be donating 10% of the Peaches proceeds to Veterans Walk and Talk, which advocates for veterans’ cannabis use as medicine; and Last Prisoner Project, a nonprofit that supports cannabis criminal justice reform.
