Celtics’ Brown tests positive for COVID-19

- — MARK MURPHY

The Celtics will be without Jaylen Brown for an unspecified amount of time after the Celtics guard tested positive for COVID-19 today.

The team reports that Brown is asymptomatic and in quarantine. He will likely miss the rest of the exhibition season, including tonight at the Garden against Toronto. The team also has two exhibition games next week, Wednesday in Orlando and Friday in Miami. The team leaves on that trip Monday.

NBA rules require that a player remain in quarantine for 10 days following a positive test.
