Lucas Sylvia buried the game’s lone goal, while Anthony Patete (eight saves) registered his seventh shutout of the season in net as East Bridgewater edged South Shore League rival Abington, 1-0.
Girls soccer
In a nonleague contest, Rylee Demenico finished with a hat trick, while Hope Montgomery tallied two goals herself as Abington blanked South Shore Christian 7-0.
Freshman Tess Barrett erupted for four goals, as Cohasset pulled away in the second half for a 6-2 victory over Carver in the South Shore League.
