Loughlin, hubby back in jet set with court’s OK

- By Joe Dwinell

Actress Lori Loughlin and her handbag-designing hubby are on the road again.

The jet-setting duo have been granted permission by a federal judge in Boston to travel to San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico, for a November wedding.

“According to the Central District of California, Ms. Loughlin has remained in compliance during her term of supervised release,” her probation officer reports. That includes paying a $150,000 fine and completing her community service.

The same was said of her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, who has paid up and served time, according to court documents.

They plan to attend the wedding from Nov. 5-12. The court documents do not divulge who is getting hitched. But the “Varsity Blues” Hollywood couple seem to enjoy the swanky resort, having been granted to vacation there this past June, the Herald reported.

Loughlin was also given the green light to travel to Toronto last month after she filed for “expedited” permission to leave the country to rekindle her acting career. “Ms. Loughlin anticipates she will be traveling for about one week” and “being offered a filming production project” if allowed to go, her request sent by a probation official stated.

That trip was also approved.

Yahoo Canada reported she taped a two-part premiere of “When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas” that is slated to air on the Hallmark Channel Dec. 18. As “When Calls the Heart” fans will know, she’s reprising her role as Abigail Stanton.

Loughlin has also been a regular on the set of “Dancing With the Stars?” where her daughter, Olivia Jade Giannulli, is competing.

It appears Aunt Becky from “Full House” fame does have a second act.

The 57-year-old actress and her husband did two months and five months, respectively, in jail for paying to land their daughters in the University of Southern California as fake crew recruits.

Probation officials say Loughlin has been a model ex-con and has “presented respectfully and cooperatively in all interactions with her Probation Officer.” The same is said for Giannulli.

Both, along with fellow actress Felicity Huffman, pleaded guilty in the college admissions scam sting and avoided serious jail time magnified by occurring during the coronavirus pandemic.

Two parents who took their cases to court and were recently found guilty will be sentenced this winter. Gamal Abdelaziz, a former casino executive, and John Wilson, a former Staples Inc. executive, were convinced of fraud and bribery earlier this month.

It was the first trial in the case and another round is coming soon to the federal court in the Seaport — possibly while Loughlin and Giannulli are watching the sunset in San Jose Del Cabo.
