Where should I park my car for Red Sox games?

- By MEGHAN OTTOLINI

Nothing beats watching a grand slam from the seats in Fenway Park with a hot dog in hand, but finding a spot to safely leave the car near Lansdowne Street in order to get there can feel like navigating a labyrinth. Don’t let the stress of parking ruin game day — here’s the Herald’s parking guide for Red Sox home games:

Street parking around Fenway Park on game days is dicey at best: parking in metered spots on the streets surrounding the stadium is off-limits for 4 hours before and after games.

Residential parking spots are reserved for vehicles displaying a valid and current sticker issued by the Transportation Department, and parking in one of those spaces can cost a hefty $100 fine. Some metered street parking is available on streets in Back Bay and other parts of Fenway, but there’s the additional cost of circling for spots.

For fans who don’t mind walking a bit, metered parking is available on Beacon Street in Brookline, Monday through Saturday, $22.50 from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.

These spots are free from 11 p.m. until 2 a.m., but there is no parking in Brookline after 2 a.m. Parking is free townwide on Sundays.
