MIAA adds 3 schools, accepts 2023 budget

The MIAA membership family is growing. At Tuesday’s MIAA Board of Directors meeting, the 19 board members on the virtual call voted unanimously to accept the applications of Trinity Christian Academy in Barnstable, Libertas Academy Charter School in Springfield and Neighborhood House Charter in Dorchester.

The board also voted 19-0 to accept the 2023 budget of $6,120,000. That figure represents a 1.75 percent increase from the 2022 bottom line total of $6,104,991.

MIAA executive director Bob Baldwin spoke on a variety of issues, among them crowd control issues and improving behavioral ways at high school events.
