Want to cheer on the Celtics at TD Garden this weekend? You’re going to have to pay a lot for the hottest tickets in several years.

Game 3 on Saturday between the Celtics and Miami Heat will be the hottest NBA ticket in Boston over the last five years, according to Vivid Seats. The average seat on that resale site is going for a cool $493 — the priciest average admission at a Celtics home game since Game 7 of the 2018 Eastern Conference Finals against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The average ticket for Game 3 is even higher on StubHub, where the average price of admission goes up to $653 for Game 3, followed by $719 for Game 4.

“Boston fans are eager for the Celtics to bring this series home this weekend — on StubHub, we’re already seeing significant early demand for Game 3 at TD Garden, which is currently our third highest-selling matchup of this week’s Conference Finals,” said StubHub spokesperson Michael Silveira.

“Ticket sales for Game 3 have jumped by almost 200% since Monday, and we anticipate demand to continue to pick up as we get closer to Saturday,” he added.

More than 3,400 tickets were still available on StubHub for Game 3, and the lowest price was $298 as of Wednesday evening. For Game 4, there were 3,100 tickets available, and the get-in price was $269.

Over on SeatGeek, the average ticket price for Game 3 is $610, and for Game 4 it’s $572. The average resale price on SeatGeek during the 2018 Eastern Conference Finals was $315.

“Prices will likely fluctuate based on the results of tomorrow’s game (Thursday in Miami), as well as the results of Game 3,” said a SeatGeek spokesperson. “Typically prices will move with the on court performance. So if the Celtics were to lose Game 2 and come home down 2-0 we would expect prices to drop, and if they go down 3-0 Game 4 tickets will likely drop significantly.

“On the flip side, if they win Game 2 prices may move up a bit, and the same goes for Game 3,” the spokesperson added. “However, with no chance for them to clinch the series in Game 4 we wouldn’t expect to see the big pop in demand for that game that we often see for potential series-clinching games at home.”

The MBTA Transit Police this week warned Celtics fans to be wary of purchasing counterfeit tickets.

Transit Police officers have taken reports in the past from victims who have purchased counterfeit tickets from secondary sources.

Oftentimes the “seller” will arrange to meet the buyer at various MBTA stations, conduct the sale and quickly vanish within the mass of people utilizing the T, according to police. By the time the buyer realizes the tickets are counterfeit, the “seller” is long gone.

“Fans who purchase tickets from a secondary source and/or from individuals advertising on social media sites such as Craigslist or Reddit are taking a RISK,” Transit Police said in a statement. “We would like to encourage fans to only buy tickets from authorized ticket agencies. Purchasing from other sources is not recommended. Potential ticket buyers should guarantee authenticity by purchasing tickets directly through legitimate/authorized outlets.”
