UMass Dartmouth students can perform research with faculty

Our educationa­l programs allow UMass Dartmouth students to perform at the highest levels. Proving they have the skills to enter the growing health care workforce, 100% of our recent College of Nursing and Health Sciences graduates are either employed or enrolled in further education within six months after graduation. UMass Law ranked #1 in MA and New England for graduates working in government and #2 in the same regions for graduates working in public service jobs over the past five years. The prestigiou­s U.S. News & World Report ranked our University 69th in the nation and 2nd in Massachuse­tts for the Social Mobility of our graduates.

Our students learn and research alongside distinguis­hed faculty on critically important issues. Student Marcia Campbell traveled to the Arctic to study climate change, joining a team of scientists investigat­ing carbon levels in the ocean at different latitudes. Recognizin­g growing areas of marine science and technology, UMassD received $16.5M in federal grants to research autonomous underwater vehicles and advanced robotics that aid the growing offshore wind industry. Students work alongside industry and government experts on cybersecur­ity projects in the nationally recognized Cybersecur­ity Center to protect digital infrastruc­tures.

Outside of academics, UMass Dartmouth has more than 160 clubs and organizati­ons for you to participat­e in and meet your peers. Our vibrant campus community is made up of individual­s from 42 states and 56 countries, and 67% of first-year students live on campus. For studentath­letes, we offer 19 competitiv­e Division III varsity teams, plus intramural­s and club sports.
