TRUMP’S REVIVAL RIPPLES WORLDWIDE

-

Donald Trump’s reemergence is already rippling across the world stage even before he wraps up the Republican presidential nomination.

The former president, on the eve of the New Hampshire primary that could catapult him to a dominating win, generated heated discussion among world leaders at the World Economic Forum in Europe — to the dismay of Democrats and Joe Biden.

Instead of treating him as a criminal, some world leaders are giving more deference to Trump than Biden.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited Trump to Kyiv to talk about Trump’s boast that he would end the Russia-Ukraine war in 24 hours if he’s elected

“Yes, please, Donald Trump — I invite you to Ukraine, to Kyiv,” he said in an interview with a U.K. newscast. “If you can stop the war during 24 hours I think it will be enough to come to Kyiv, on any day I am here.”

Zelenskyy’s conditional invite may have been laced with sarcasm but it indicates he may want to cultivate ties to Trump again in case he’s elected president.

Trump, who has praised Vladimir Putin in the past, has indicated he wants to stop U.S. aid to Ukraine — which would be a huge blow to Zelenskyy.

And while Zelenskyy is reaching out to Trump, other world leaders may be turning their backs on Biden.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not speak with the American president for four weeks, freezing him out despite Biden’s support for Israel in its war against Hamas.

Biden’s backing for Palestinian sovereignty is the reason for Netanyahu’s reluctance to talk, but Biden is also getting blamed by American liberals for cozying up too tight to Israel.

The ultimate winner in that standoff is Trump, who is solidly for Israel in its war with the terrorists.

Trump is also getting fresh support in the U.S. from voters, according to recent polls.

A new Harvard CAPS Harris Poll taken among 2,346 registered voters nationwide showed Trump has widened his head-to-head lead over President Biden to 48-41%, and his lead is even bigger — by 11 points — if Robert F. Kennedy, Jill Stein and Cornel West are included in the poll matchup.

The numbers strongly refute the Democrats’ argument that Kennedy takes away from Trump more than Biden.

In another bad sign for Biden, just one third of voters say the economy is on the right track, despite the Democrats’ repeated attempts to convince Americans it’s doing just great.

Biden’s approval rating is at a low 42%, especially about the issues of inflation and immigration — which is seen as the top issue facing the nation.

Trump’s proposed plan to restrict immigration for millions of migrants could be one reason why he’s generating new support at the polls.

The former president has also proposed a naval blockade as a way to stop drug smuggling into the U.S., designating drug cartels as “enemy combatants,” and completing the border wall despite Biden having stopped it.

Trump is also trying to use his leverage to block a bipartisan border security package in the Senate.

Even in liberal Massachusetts, Trump is on a roll with the State Ballot Law Commission’s refusal to knock the former president from the ballot in the Bay State’s primary next month. And if he beats Nikki Haley in New Hampshire on Tuesday, look for Trump to try and essentially secure the nomination by forcing Haley out of the race.
