Senior Chase Mello dropped 45 points as Hingham (11-11) won 57-44 over Archbishop Williams in nonleague boys basketball action.

Jack Cullinan put up 17 points, and Will Henle and Luke Moore finished with eight points each as Cohasset defeated Notre Dame (Tyngsboro), 6246. … Aiden Flaherty (18 points, 11 rebounds), Ethan Pohl (18 points) and Dylan Kaplinger (10 points, 16 rebounds) fueled East Bridgewate­r (146) in a 62-50 win over Holliston. … Xavier Rivera (22 points, 17 rebounds), Tzar Powell Aparicio (23 points) and Juan Beltres Diaz (17 points, eight rebounds) turned in fantastic performanc­es offensivel­y for Lowell (14-6) in a 76-71 win over Salem.

Alex Wilkins (25 points), Emerson Davis (17 points), Riley Clarke (11 points) and Trokon Harris 11 points) reached double figures for Brooks (16-8) during a 7168 overtime win over Independen­t School League foe St. Mark’s. … Robby Fiore collected 16 points, a rebound and a steal, and Jay Jones had 12 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals as Rivers (22-2) beat Groton, 65-38.

Kyle Rush scored 21 points (seven three-pointers) for St. Mary’s (Lynn) (16-7) in an 86-56 Catholic Central League win over Arlington Catholic. … Isaiah Bean Brittian (14 points), Caleb Baker (19 points) and Brayden Ferguson (11 points, three triples) stepped up for Whitman-Hanson (16-6) in an 84-55 win over Norwood in the consolatio­n game at the Panther Winter Classic.

Girls basketball

In the Northeaste­rn Conference, Logan Lomasney had 16 points and eight rebounds as Peabody (13-7) took down Saugus 49-42.

Callie Flynn tallied 19 points for Weymouth (184) in a 41-24 nonleague win over Marshfield. … Ava Bryan (19 points) and Maeve Powers (14 points) set the tone as North Quincy (12-9) bested King Philip, 57-33. … Hannah Kuriscak buried 24 points (eight three-pointers), and Addison Taylor recorded 10 points, four assists and four steals as Apponequet (19-3) topped Abington, 5139. … Skye Cerow notched 16 points, and Hailey Flynn put in 12 points as Duxbury (14-6) defeated Falmouth, 40-22.

Maddie Oliver scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds to earn MVP honors at the Norwell Invitation­al, while Alex Cassidy added nine points and 11 rebounds as Norwell (191) outlasted Hanover 35-28 in a defensive clash.

Boys hockey

Carter Meyer fired in the winning goal in overtime (his second) to give Rivers (17-9-1) a 4-3 overtime win over Brooks in Independen­t School League action. Justin Graf and Sam Pandolfo scored as well for the Red Wings. … Billy MacAusland opened the scoring, and Ethan Cox added two goals as Nobles beat Governor’s Academy, 3-0.

Girls hockey

In the Newburypor­t Bank Classic, Ally Kelley scored twice, while Maddie Cantor and Calli Pineau each had a goal and three assists as Norwell/Scituate/Abington (7-12-1) defeated Newburypor­t, 7-2.

In nonleague action, Jules Connors tallied two goals and an assist as W hitman-Hanson/Silver Lake (7-12-1) defeated Medway, 3-1. … Emma Itri netted the winning goal for Sandwich (10-10-2) in a 4-3 overtime victory over Martha’s Vineyard.
