Kerry climate grift passes to next generation

- By Larry Behrens

It is a special time for any family when a father lovingly hands over the keys to the luxury private jet to the next generation. Sadly, for the rest of us, we are just at the beginning of Kerry Act Two: Lights Out Boogaloo.

Meet Dr. Vanessa Kerry, the daughter of former climate czar, former Secretary of State and former presidential election loser, John Kerry. Less than a year before her father stepped down from his controversial role in the Biden Administration, Vanessa Kerry signed on as the “Director-General Special Envoy for Climate Change and Health” with the World Health Organization (WHO). Yes, that is the actual title.

For the sake of argument, let’s set aside two immediate troublesome facts about this new climate arrangement. First, the same WHO that did such a “incredible” job guiding the world through the COVID pandemic is now pushing Dr. Kerry to lead on climate. Second, the same chorus of climate zealots who repeatedly warned about the world’s end are handing over the reins to the next generation. In the elder Kerry’s case, he claimed there’s “only have nine years left” to act, and that was in 2021. So, it is clear Kerry and Co. must really feel there is plenty of time left considering how they are letting the kids take over the family grift.

However, the most worrying component of Vanessa Kerry’s new mission is how she, and the entire environmental movement, will more aggressively tie their climate agenda to our public health. To put it another way:

Not only is every hurricane season now proof positive that gas stoves are a menace, but seasonal allergies will now be another reason to ban oil. If you think that sounds like hyperbole, let us allow Dr. Kerry to speak for herself.

“We can and must make different decisions. We must accept that there is no other way forward than to phase out our reliance on fossil fuels. Simply mitigation and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions — is no longer a choice,” Kerry told the most recent United Nations climate conference in Dubai last year.

Just in case words like “no longer a choice” are not alarmist enough, she had much more. Dr. Kerry supports the claim that millions of people die every year because of fossil fuels, claiming, “One person dies every four seconds. So, by the time I finish this sentence, another person will have died, and 61% of those deaths are directly attributable to fossil fuels.” So, not only is your gas-powered mower responsible for the typhoon in the Pacific, you’re also on the hook for millions of dead annually. Thankfully, Dr. Kerry offered this warning at a conference where 70,000 climate activists traveled across the globe in carbon-spewing planes to lecture about the evils of carbon. Their own fossil fuel gluttony is magically innocent.

History will show John Kerry’s legacy as Joe Biden’s Climate Czar was a key driver in delivering record gas prices, inflation, and deeper dependence on China for our energy needs. Yet, in passing the baton to his daughter, the younger Kerry noted even he didn’t take full advantage of all the climate grift has to offer. “I get to teach him now because there’s so much that he’s learning about this intersection that he didn’t know,” she told a reporter.

Translation: Dad wasn’t aggressive enough in pushing our agenda.

The climate grift pushed by Kerry and Kerry is a dangerous one where the next generation does not hide their true intentions to undermine your way of life. Using words like “no longer a choice” tells us they do not plan to debate or discuss; they plan to deliver energy poverty to the masses. Of course, just like her dad, Dr. Kerry’s life will continue as normal because they are the ones who make the decisions, and we are the ones who will be forced to live with the consequences.
