James Gregory Laham of Chelmsford, formerly of Jamaica Plain, passed away, on July 15, 2023, at the age of 50. Dear and devoted husband of Lisa (Magnuson) Laham. Beloved son of Deborah (MacLean) Laham of Westwood and the late Gregory H. Laham. Dear grandson of Kathleen MacLean of Winthrop and the late Malcolm MacLean, Herbert Laham and Lorraine Laham. Adoring stepfather of Grace and Olivia. Dear brother of Keith Laham and his wife, Jennifer of Dedham. Devoted uncle of Martin, Jordan and Savannah Laham. Dear son-in-law of John and Elizabeth Magnuson. Brother-in-law of Beth Perullo. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, countless friends and his unexpected cuddle companion, Gus the cat.
An enthusiastic hobbyist, James was affectionately known as King of the Nerds among friends and loved ones. Whether he was playing video games, sitting around a gaming table or on a golf trip, James was counted on by all to create fun and tell the very best of stories. James was the proud owner of Sullivan’s Pharmacy and Medical Supply, one of the largest independent healthcare providers in the nation. Nothing mattered more to James than taking care of others and he was depended on by many as a source of truth, wisdom and compassion across his astonishingly vast network of friends and family. James’ greatest joy came in recent years when he married the love of his life, Lisa and became an amazing stepfather to Grace and Olivia. He has left us all too soon, but our lives are immeasurably better for knowing him and we are incredibly grateful for the time we had.
