BC men win at Georgia Tech

Devin McGlockton, a 6-foot-7-inch sophomore forward from Cumming, Ga., highlighte­d his homecoming to the Peachtree State by scoring a career-high 30 points to lead the Boston College men’s basketball team to its first Atlantic Coast Conference win of the season in a 95-87 victory over Georgia Tech in Atlanta. McClockton hit 12 of 15 shots, including 3 of 4 from the foul line and the 3-point arc, to lead the Eagles (10-4, 1-2). Claudell Harris Jr. added 26 points for BC . . . Sophomore forward Chisom Okpara scored a team-high 18 points for Harvard (9-5, 0-1 Ivy), but it wasn’t enough to overcome the game-high 33 points scored by Princeton’s Xavian Lee in Harvard’s 8958 loss to the Tigers (13-1, 1-0) at Jadwin Gymnasium . . . Justin Vander Baan had 16 points, 9 rebounds, 3 steals, and 4 blocked shots to lead Lafayette to a 59-51 Patriot League victory over host Boston University. Kyle Jenkins added 14 points for the Leopards (3-12, 2-0). Nic Nobili led the Terriers (5-10, 0-2) with 13 points and Otto Landrum had 12 points . . . TJ Small scored 15 points and had 6 rebounds to lead Army (5-10, 1-1 Patriot) past Holy Cross, 70-57, at West Point, N.Y. Will Batchelder led the Crusaders (3-12, 0-2) with 16 points . . . Brayden O’Connor scored 23 points to lead UMass Lowell to an 82-75 over New Hampshire in Durham, N.H. Quinton Mincey had 19 points and 12 rebounds and Max Brooks scored 17 for the River Hawks (10-4, 1-0 America East). Clarence O. Daniels II finished with 22 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 blocks for the Wildcats (8-6, 0-1).
