William Balz

Weston, junior

Finishing his season tied for third (79) at Division 3 states at Sterling National CC, the junior was instrument­al as Weston won its second straight state title by one stroke. He also finished T-5 at D3 North sectionals (78) at Stow Acres CC.

Savar Bhasin

St. John’s (Shrewsbury), junior Carrying a 36.5 scoring average, the Millbury resident was indispensa­ble in the Pioneers’ run to the Division 1 championsh­ip. A Catholic Conference All-Star, he carded a 76 (T-7) in the state meet, and a 77 (T-13) in the Central sectional.

Matt Costello

Bishop Stang, senior

A returning All-Scholastic, Costello carried a 35.75 average, finished third at D2 South sectionals (74) for the champions, and tied for sixth at D2 states (76). With a perfect career record (38-0), the Taunton resident will play at UConn.

Carson Erick

Hingham, senior

A three-time All-Scholastic and three-time Patriot All-Star, Erick was co-medalist at the D1 South sectional (71) for runner-up Hingham, and T-3 at states (75) at GreatHorse, where he also won the 2023 Massachuse­tts Junior Open.

Bobby Fish

Danvers, senior

A three-time team MVP, Fish finished 10-0-2 in the regular season to earn player of the year honors in the Northeaste­rn Conference. He tied for fourth (74) in the Division 2 North sectional at Stow Acres, and 11th in the state final.

Nic Gebhardt

St. John’s (Shrewsbury), senior

The senior captain concluded his high school career with a D1 team championsh­ip for the Pioneers (16-1), shooting a 75 (T-3) at GreatHorse. A Rutland resident, he was named a Catholic Conference AllStar and averaged 37 strokes.

John Gillooly

Milton, senior

The senior was medalist in the Division 2 North sectional (72) at Stow Acres, and finished sixth at states (76). Gillooly carried a 37.94 scoring average, and holds a 3.2 handicap. He is the reigning junior club champion at Milton Hoosic.

Owen Hamilton

Duxbury, senior

The captain earned his second Patriot League MVP with the 11-7 Dragons. A three-time league allstar, Hamilton was co-medalist in the Division 2 South sectionals (72) at Easton CC and finished 11th in the state final (78) at Thorny Lea.

Tim Hill

Dover-Sherborn, senior

A two-year captain for the Division 2 champions, Hill carded a 75 (T-4) at Thorny Lea as the 14-2 Raiders won by two strokes over Bishop Stang. He was named a Tri-Valley League All-Star four times, and will attend Gettysburg College.

Terry Manning

St. John’s Prep, senior

A captain from Georgetown, he carried a 36.4 scoring average for the Division 1 state runner-ups, tying for seventh (74) at GreatHorse. He was 1-under-par 71 at the

North sectional, and led Prep to the Cape Cod Invitation­al title.

Jack Martin

Nauset, junior

A returning All-Scholastic, the

West Yarmouth junior once again captained Nauset with a 13-3 individual record. With a top-5 finish at the Division 2 South sectional (77), he qualified for states as an individual and finished third (74).

Ronan Mooney

St. John’s (Shrewsbury), junior Averaging 38, Mooney was a crucial piece for the Division 1 state champions. He fired a 77 in the D1 Central sectional, and shot a 75 at D1 states, tied for the team-low, as the Pioneers won by an 11-stroke margin.

Carson Muse

Winchester, senior

A four-year varsity player and three-year captain for the Red and Black, Muse carried a 35.69 scoring average this season. He finished 10th at Division 1 North sectionals (75), and shot a 78 at states. He will play at Trinity College.

Matt Oliveira

Bishop Stang, junior

The three-time All-Scholastic and two-time Catholic Central MVP was co-medalist in the Division 2 South sectional (72) and tied for fourth at D2 states (75). He was the youngest qualifier in the Massachuse­tts Open at TPC Boston.

Zach Pelzar

Weston, senior

The three-time All-Scholastic and four-time Dual County All-Star was medalist at the Division 3 North sectional (70) and runner-up at D3 states (75), leading his team to a second straight D3 title. He will play golf at Emory University.

Charlie Potter

Dover-Sherborn, sophomore

Named Tri-Valley MVP, the sophomore led D-S to the Division 2 state title as medalist (71) at Sterling National. He was also co-medalist in the D2 Central sectional (73) at Maplegate, and carded D-S’s low round this season (4 under).

Ilan Rashdan

Westford, senior

Rashdan, a returning All-Scholastic, averaged 1-over-par and went 11-3-1 as an individual for the Dual County champion Ghosts (14-2, 10-0 DCL). He finished second at Division 1 states (71), and T-6 at the Central sectional (74).

John Scully

Winchester, junior

A 10-0-1 record capped off another outstandin­g year for the returning All-Scholastic. Finishing fifth at Division 1 North (72) at Renaissanc­e for the runner-up Red and Black, Scully helped lead Winchester to a perfect regular season.

Ethan Sullivan

King Philip, senior

The captain powered the Warriors to a 12-2 record and finished fifth at Division 2 South sectionals (73) at Pleasant Valley, becoming the second KP golfer to earn a state bid. The Norfolk senior plans a postgradua­te year.

Chad Tordone

Barnstable, senior

A three-year captain for Barnstable, Tordone has been a Cape & Islands All-Star five times and was this year’s MVP. He finished tied for third in the Division 1 South sectional (72), and T-7 at states (76). He will play at Babson.

Matthew Tramonte

Shawsheen, senior

A three-year captain from Tewksbury, the two-time Commonweal­th MVP (36.0 average) powered the Rams (19-0) to their 19th straight CAC title. He carded a 78 at the State Vocational, 74 at the CAC, and 76 at the D2 Central sectional.
