Of Easton, age 74, passed away peacefully at his home, with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Mildred “Millie” (Jarvis) Palano.

Born and raised in Dorchester, he was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Spadaro) Palano. Dominic moved to Easton in 1966. He graduated from St. John’s Preparator­y School in Danvers. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged.

For many years he was employed at his fathers’ business in auto parts and then became the proprietor of Jayro Auto Parts in Whitman. After retiring from the auto parts industry, he then took a position with Easton Middle School as a custodian from 2004 to 2011, after which he then retired.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 238 of Easton. He enjoyed fishing, qua-hogging and time he spent with his family.

Besides his wife Millie, he was survived by his three children, Joseph A. Palano and his fiancée, Jillian Hobart of Weymouth, Jason J. Palano and his wife, Gina of Cranston, RI and Jennifer C. Wartski of North Caldwell, NJ; seven grandchild­ren, Ariana; Giada; Caleb; Benjamin; Ezra; Delilah and Dominic; and a goddaughte­r, Michelle Colasante. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Dolores Gibbs and Rose Palano of Easton.

Funeral from the Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington St., (Rte. 138), EASTON, on Tuesday, April 16, at 9:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church, 193 Main St., Easton, at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be held privately at a later date.

Visiting Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 15, from 4- to 7pm. All are invited to attend.
