Waltham, senior
The shifty guard posted a breakout season, averaging 20.1 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.2 steals to earn Dual County MVP honors for the 18-4 Hawks. The three-time league allstar scored 1,121 career points and will play at Rivier.
Solis Blue
New Mission, sophomore
The combo guard averaged 19.7 points and 6 assists as a sophomore, hitting 81 3-pointers at a 47 percent clip, and scoring 23 points per game during five tournament wins while lifting the Titans to the Division 5 state title.
Justice Buchannan
Bedford, senior
The four-year letterman finished with 906 points and topped 300 assists, 200 rebounds, and 100 steals for his career. The Dual County League MVP averaged 16 points while leading Bedford to the D2 state semifinals as a senior.
Lorenzo Carrara
Xaverian, senior
The 6-foot-6-inch three-time Catholic Conference All-Star led the Hawks to their first state semifinals appearance in 30 years, averaging 21.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game while topping 1,000 career points. He will play at Gettysburg.
Brian Cloonan
Needham, senior
The two-time Bay State Conference Herget MVP averaged 20.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game during. Also a captain and two-time state champion in volleyball, he will play basketball at Claremont McKenna College.
Cade Furse
Manchester Essex, senior
Furse capped a standout career with averages of 23 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists for the Hornets (21-2). The two-time Cape Ann League MVP won four league titles and compiled 1,577 points. He will post-grad at Phillips Exeter.
Matt Gaffney
Malden Catholic, junior
The point guard from Wakefield guided MC to a third consecutive Division 2 title with his stellar shotmaking, passing, and leadership. Gaffney is a two-time Catholic Conference All-Star and surpassed 1,000 career points in March.
Ryan Higgins
Catholic Memorial, senior
The Catholic Conference co-MVP was one of the state’s best shooters, averaging 18 points per game on 50/40/90 shooting splits as CM won the league and reached the Division 1 semifinals. Higgins will play at Roger Williams.
Jaylen Hunter-Coleman
Charlestown, sophomore
Poised and pivotal, the lefty point guard helped Charlestown capture the Division 3 title and City League championship during a historic winter. The son of coach Hugh Coleman is already a two-time AllScholastic with 1,000 points.
Obbie Luciano
Lawrence, senior
With a 4.71 GPA, Luciano is the class valedictorian, but he also shined on the court with 26.7 points and 11.2 rebounds per game to earn Merrimack Valley Conference All-Star honors for the 17-8 Lancers. He will attend Yale.
Javihan Martinez
St. Mary's, sophomore
A starter since the eighth grade, Martinez posted his best season to date, filling up the stat sheet with averages of 19 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks to earn Catholic Central All-Star recognition.
Hunter Matteson
Dartmouth, senior
The school’s career scoring leader (1,447 points) averaged 23.5 points and 10.3 rebounds to repeat as Southeast Conference MVP and an All-Scholastic. The 6-foot-8-inch forward will play at Springfield College and study physical therapy.
Jacob McLoughlin
Sharon, senior
A two-time All-Scholastic at point guard, he averaged 17.7 points, 5.2 assists, and 2.8 steals, leading Sharon to the Division 2 final for the first time since 1991. A two-time Hockomock League All-Star, McLoughlin also played football.
Tzar Powell-Aparicio
Lowell, junior
With a quick step and a tight handle, the point guard served as the playmaking engine during Lowell’s run to the Elite Eight. He averaged 17 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals, earning Merrimack Valley All-Star honors.
Nathan Reynolds
Bourne, junior
The 6-foot-5-inch junior forward averaged 20.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks per game to be named South Coast Conference MVP. A 1,000-point scorer, Reynolds led Bourne to a 23-2 record and the Division 4 state final.
Burke, junior
Roberts earned his second AllScholastic nod after compiling 27 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals per game as the Bulldogs finished 20-5 and advanced to the Division 4 semifinals. The lefty guard has 1,420 career points.
Cedric Rodriguez
Burlington, senior
The Middlesex League Freedom MVP averaged 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game during a 16-6 season, finishing as the program’s all-time leading scorer with 1,338 points and the singlegame record of 10 3-pointers.
Teagan Swint
Newton North, junior
The junior wing averaged 24 points and 7 rebounds per game as Bay State Conference Carey MVP, erupting for several huge scoring games, including a program-record 45 points in the Comcast. Swint plays AAU with Middlesex Magic.
Jeffery White
Cambridge, senior
White earns All-Scholastic honors after averaging 18 points and 11 rebounds en route to capturing a second straight Dual County League MVP award. The senior forward helped Cambridge win the league and finish 18-4.
