Alex Bajoras
St. John’s Prep, junior
The junior followed up an undefeated regular season with a victory at Division 1 North, finishing runner-up at states, All-States, and New Englands. The heavyweight from Gloucester earned All-American status as a sophomore.
Nate Blanchette
Central Catholic, senior
With a takedown to win at New Englands for the third time, the senior 175-pounder immediately qualified for the New England Wrestling Hall of Fame. He was state, All-State, and NHSCA national champ and will attend Rutgers.
Hannah Bryson
Wilmington, senior
The 126-pound senior won all her postseason bouts except the New England finals, becoming a Division 3 and All-State champion. The cross-country and track athlete also does Brazilian jiu-jitsu and will attend Boston University.
Jayden D'Ambrosio
St. John’s Prep, senior
The 157-pounder completed an undefeated (61-0) season, winning through New Englands. In the process, he and his father, James, became the first father and son to win All-State titles. The senior from Reading will compete at Edinboro.
Vinny DeMaio
Methuen, sophomore
The 157 pounder went 47-4 this winter, with each loss a postseason final against Prep’s Jayden D'Ambrosio. The 4.0 GPA student and football player is 130-16 in his career. He is a three-time state placer and two-time All-State placer.
Mia Dineen
Hingham, junior
An All-State champion and thirdplace finisher at New Englands, the 107-pounder was 33-14 on the season, adding second place at the coed Div. 2 South Sectionals. Dineen placed sixth at the Marshfield Tournament at 106 against boys.
Shelby Galex
Northeast, junior
The junior fought her way through the postseason, winning through All-States and reaching the New England finals. The 145-pounder from Woburn went 20-1 on the season. She is a member of the National Technical Honor Society.
Dom Gangi
Methuen, senior
In his last chance to forge his legacy, the 113-pounder swept his way through All-States, honoring his injured coach Bill James in victory. After a fourth-place finish at New Englands, Gangi will wrestle at New England College.
Cole Glynn
Central Catholic, junior
The junior avenged a close finals loss in Division 1 North to take titles in Division 1 and All-States, compiling a 45-8 record (105-30 career). The 106-pounder from Salem, N.H., led the Raiders to an MVC title. He will attend MIT.
Maddy Li
Andover, senior
Sweeping her way through the postseason to become 114-pound New England champion, the senior went 34-21 (15-2 against girls), including a title at the Phillips Andover tournament. Li will wrestle at New England College.
Tessa Master
Watertown, junior
The only points the junior allowed in the postseason were to the eventual New England champion, winning titles up to New Englands, where she took third. The 152pounder also competes in track and is an honor roll student.
Yandel Morales
Andover, sophomore
After an offseason that saw Morales earn second place at Pan-Am and ninth at Worlds, the sophomore dominated a loaded 126-pound class. Going 54-5, he swept through the Massachusetts postseason, and took second at New Englands.
Brent Nicolosi
Haverhill, senior
Haverhill’s all-time wins leader (206) swept through the postseason, helping the Hillies earn Division 1 and All-State titles. The 160pounder is a two-time state champion, three-time New England placer, and two-time All-American.
Nora Quitt
Ashland, senior
The 138-pounder repeated as AllState champion, adding titles at the Eastern States Classic and New Englands, and finished third nationally. The senior went 25-16 against boys, 15-1 against girls, and plans to wrestle club at UMass.
Peter Rincan
Billerica, sophomore
The sophomore 120-pounder handled the switch from New Hampshire to Massachusetts seamlessly, following his 53-0 freshman year with a 55-1 showing. A champion of two states, Rincan was third at New Englands.
James Tildsley
Shawsheen, sophomore
The 144-pounder completed a 57-0 season. His victory at All-States earned him Outstanding Wrestler honors and his victory at New Englands was his third time placing there. He also won his third Lowell Holiday title.
Sid Tildsley
Shawsheen, junior
The junior 138-pounder won his third Division 1 state and All-State championships, finishing third at New Englands, which he has won twice. He finished fifth at Nationals, adding a third All-American honor to his 195-2 career.
Michael Toppan
Gloucester, senior
The 190-pounder took the All-State title as a senior, capping a 54-5 season. A two-time Division 3 state champion and two-time New England placer, Toppan finishes with a 181-29 career record. He'll wrestle at Roger Williams.
Brent von Magnus
Bridgewater-Raynham, junior
The junior repeated as Division 2 champion, this time at 132 pounds, adding a runner-up finish at AllStates (third time placing) and fifth place at New Englands (second time placing). Von Magnus led the Trojans to the Southeast title.
Meghan Wiebe
Sharon, senior
The 165-pounder made her senior year and only postseason run count, winning championships through New Englands and landing with a fourth-place finish nationally. Wiebe went 18-11 on the season. She also plays soccer.
