Marianna Alice Reges

BURLINGTON - Marianna Alice Reges, 76, passed away peacefully at her home in Burlington, Vermont on August 13, 2023.

Marianna was born in Budapest Hungry to Otto Horvatovich and Alice Reges. Beloved Mother of Rebecca Reges Green and Charles (BC) P. Green, III; loving Grandmother of Alivia Alice DeGeorge Green, and her mother Hannah DeGeorge of Cobbleskill, NY. Adoring sister of Szabone Horvatovich Agnes, of Budapest.

She was one of the first female Advertising Executives in New York City. Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Baruch College in 1971 with a BA in Business Administration. She then went on to get a Masters Degree in Statistics in 1978.

She was awarded the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017.

She has worked as the Media Manager for Bristol-Myers Squibb Company and later Procter & Gamble. A member of the Pan European TV Audience Research Management Committee. Truly a brilliant mind that took joy in assisting others to reach their full potential. After retiring she became involved in New York’s Anthropological Society and enjoyed traveling all over the world. She loved going back to Budapest and visiting her family there. She overcame Cancer and won, then took on Alzheimer’s and beat that as well. Never letting it take her precious memories or humor.

She is predeceased by her son, BC Green and survived by countless friends and family in both New York and Vermont.

A graveside service will be held Friday August 18, 2023 at 1:00pm at Albany Rural Cemetery located at 3 Cemetery Avenue, Albany, NY 12204.
