Kroger customers give more than $179,000 to benefit
Kroger’s Atlanta Division customers donated more than $179,000 from April 13 – 26 to support the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life campaign.
All 184 stores in Kroger’s Atlanta Division – which includes locations in Georgia, South Carolina and Eastern Alabama – participated in the fundraiser. Customers were encouraged to purchase $1 “footprint” icons at checkout to raise awareness and funds to help fight cancer.
“We thank our customers for their overwhelming generosity throughout this campaign,” Glynn Jenkins, director of communications and public relations for Kroger’s Atlanta Division, said. “Their contributions will greatly help support the millions of people affected by cancer in our com- munities.”
