Plainview Baptist Church. Sue had a heart of gold and this showed in her work as a caregiver, a job she enjoyed.

She is predecease­d by her parents Robert M. Lanier and Margaret (Bowman) Lanier and her son, Chris.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennie; brother, Gary; sisters, Barbara, Cathy and Linda; stepfather, Joe Edens; and two grandchild­ren, Ashley Chris and Tyler.

Sue will be known for her genuine kindness and warmth to all who knew her. A private service is planned at a later date in Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributi­ons be made to the New Zion Cemetery Fund.

Nancy Roach Fowler

Nancy Roach Fowler, age 76, of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Gordon Hospital.

Nancy was born July 8, 1938, in Gordon County, daughter of the late King Clayton Roach and Winnie Fite Roach. She was a member of the Reeves Baptist Church and besides her parents, was preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Fowler, and a brother, Johnny Roach.

Survivors include her daughters, Suzanne Edwards and her husband Ken, Renee Dutton and her husband Jeff, Mary Keeney and her husband David, and Ellen Brown and her husband David, all of Calhoun. Seven grandchild­ren and two great-grandchild­ren also survive.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m., from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Dutton officiatin­g. Burial followed in Gordon Memorial Gardens.

The family received friends Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
